Does Enshrouded Have Crossplay? PC & PS5 Cross-Platform Guide

How do you enable crossplay?

Crossplay is controlled by a toggle in the gameplay settings, and it must be enabled on both sides — the most common reason friends cannot see each other is that one player has it switched off. After enabling:

1. Both players link/confirm their Keen Games account in the game’s settings (this is what connects your platform identity to your in-game name)
2. Open the Social tab in the pause menu
3. Search for your friend by their in-game username — platform friends lists do not merge, so search by name even on the same platform
4. Send a friend request, then invite from the same tab

What world settings do you need?

Before loading your world, set it to Friends Only or Public. A private/invite-only world blocks incoming joins by default — including from people on your friends list. You can also add regular teammates to an allowed list when creating the world so they can join without a fresh invite each session.

What are the limitations?

• No cross-progression (yet). Characters, bases and items are tied to the platform they were created on. Starting on PC and later buying the PS5 version means starting over — cross-progression has been requested but is not in 1.0
• 16-player cap applies to crossplay lobbies, same as same-platform lobbies
• Modded PC lobbies are off-limits to console players. Console versions do not support mods, so crossplay sessions must run vanilla
• PS Plus is required for online play on PS5; no extra subscription is needed on PC beyond owning the game

How do you fix crossplay problems?

• Friend not showing up: confirm the exact in-game username (capitalization matters) and that both players enabled crossplay; try having them send you a request instead
• “Invite failed to send”: usually means the friend is already in another session or a connection blip — reopen the Social tab and resend
• “Version mismatch”: one player needs the latest patch — check for updates on both platforms
• Connection errors as host: restart your router, and on PC add Enshrouded as a firewall exception; console players should confirm NAT type is Open
